Pietra De Mello-Pittman MBE was a First Artist in The Royal Ballet, at the Royal Opera House, in Covent Garden, London for thirteen years She retired from Royal Ballet in 2015 with her final performance being Swan Lake.
As a ballerina with the Royal Ballet, Pietra has performed in over ten countries on the world’s largest and most prestigious stages, including The Royal Opera House London, Bolshoi in Moscow, and New York’s Lincoln Centre. Pietra continues to make one-off special performances for Sisters Grimm in their shows.
She joined the Royal Ballet company in March 2003 after 2 years full time training at The Royal Ballet Upper School. Prior to this, she attended St. Catherine's School in Bramley, Surrey and took R.A.D. exams at the Susan Robinson School of Dance, West Byfleet.
